WHY ROTATIONAL MOULDING ?

A highly versatile process

Rotational moulding (often called roto-moulding) is a versatile process for manufacturing a wide range of plastic products and components. The combination of rotation with controlled heating and cooling achieves a uniform layer of plastic within the mould.

Production facilities

The PLASTEX bi-axial machines and ovens facilitate running a large number of production cycles per day. Small items up to products 3.6 meters long can be moulded. The unique design of the machines enables simultaneous moulding of several products on each machine, providing PLASTEX with one of the largest and most flexible production facilities in Southern Africa.

Our material

Polyethylene is the most commonly used material in rotomoulding, combined with UV stabilisers to inhibit the effects of sunlight. Both medium and low density polymers are used. Foam can also be used to improve product strength and buoyancy.
